Lot 0:Bidding Explained - Staggered Ending, Max Bid & Soft Close (Bidding Extended)

"STAGGERED ENDING" Lots will begin closing at the designated time at a set rate. Please watch the countdown timer on each lot. Please refer to the β€œAuction Closing and Technical Difficulties” section.

β€œA MAX BID” may be placed on any item and the computer will bid on your behalf, thus eliminating the need to β€œbabysit” your bids. This option is highly recommended, so you do not miss out on the item you are bidding on for any reason. This option is available by entering bid amount into the β€œPlace Bid!” Box

β€œTHE SOFT CLOSE” feature which means any bid received in the final minutes of the auction will auto extend bidding on that item or lot by 3 minutes thus allowing a backup bidder the opportunity to raise their bid. In the event you do not use the MAX BID feature and you are out bid you will be notified via e-mail or text that you have been outbid and will have the opportunity to raise your bid.

This feature may change the closing time for a certain lot but will not change the closing time for any other lot. In such an instance, an earlier lot number may close after a later lot number. This is another reason to use the MAX BID feature.

HobbyMaster MIG-25 Foxbat - 1:72 scale of Belenko's "Red 31"
Lot 2:HobbyMaster MIG-25 Foxbat - 1:72 scale of Belenko's "Red 31"

This die-cast model of the legendary MiG-25 Foxbat is a 1:72 scale model in the Air Power Series produced by HobbyMaster. This specific model is labeled "MiG-25P Foxbat," "Red 31, flown by Lt. (Sg.) V. Belenko, Chuguyevka Airbase, Japan 1976," and "HA5601." Still in the original box and packaging with all its parts and instructions, the condition of this model is excellent. The box shows minor wear associated with storage and measures approximately 14" x 9.5" x 4". The plane measures approximately 12" from nose to tail and 7" from wing to wing.

The MiG 25 that this "Foxbat" is modeled after, was designed in the 1960s and introduced in the 1970s by the Russians in response to US experiments with high-altitude, supersonic bombers during the Cold War era. At the time, the MiG-25 was the fastest combat aircraft ever in active service and was often used for reconnaissance. This model commemorates the dramatic defection of Soviet Union Lt. Belenko to the West, who landed his MiG-25P Foxbat named "Red 31" in Japan and sought asylum in the US. The US and Japan were then able to examine and test the terrifying Foxbat.

This ready to assemble model is representative one of the fastest combat aircraft in the history of aviation.

American Airlines Special Police Badge
Lot 16:American Airlines Special Police Badge

Long before TSA checkpoints and federalized airport screening, the airlines policed their own ramps, terminals, and hangars. This eagle-topped shield badge is a survivor of that era.

Badges of this style were manufactured by F.G. Clover Co. of New York, a maker known for producing high-quality obsolete police and railroad badges for private security forces, and this example bears the same eagle-and-shield form with the interlocking "AA" flying eagle emblem struck boldly in the center. The banner above reads "AMERICAN AIRLINES INC," the banner below "SPECIAL POLICE," and the badge is individually numbered "104" on a bottom tab β€” evidence it was issued to a specific officer on American's private police force, tasked with guarding airline property, cargo, and passengers at a time when the carrier maintained its own uniformed security detail. The piece has a nickel-silver toned finish with a serrated sunburst border radiating from the central shield, a pin-back closure intact and functional on the reverse, and honest age-appropriate patina and light oxidation consistent with decades of genuine use and storage β€” nothing that detracts from its strong, dimensional detail. Pieces like this rarely survive with their number tab intact, making this a standout for any aviation security, airline history, or badge/insignia collection.

American Airlines Lead Mechanic Badges - Lot of 2
Lot 17:American Airlines Lead Mechanic Badges - Lot of 2

Ground crew rarely get their due in aviation memorabilia, which makes this pair of American Airlines "Lead Mechanic" wing badges a genuine standout for a maintenance and ground-ops collection. Wing pins were an airline-industry tradition dating to the 1920s, originally used to signify an employee's role and years of service, with the metals and designs often varying by rank and era β€” and these two badges appear to represent two separate design generations of the same "Lead Mechanic" title badge. The larger of the pair centers the American Airlines eagle directly between a bold block "AA," wings swept wide in gilt metal, with "LEAD MECHANIC" struck in raised gold letters on a deep blue enamel banner below. The second, slightly smaller badge swaps the eagle-and-lettering motif for AA's classic circular red-white-and-blue cockade β€” the flying eagle silhouette between "A" and "A" inside a red ring β€” again mounted above a blue enamel "LEAD MECHANIC" banner and gilt wings. Both are pin-back construction, with the horizontal pin and catch intact and functional on each reverse, and both show an attractive warm gilt patina consistent with genuine age and wear rather than reproduction shine. Displayed together, they make a compelling before-and-after study of how American Airlines updated its ground-crew insignia over the decades.

First pin measures approximately 3" x 1.2"

Second pin measures approximately 2.7" x 1.5"

American Airlines Foreman Badges - Lot of 3
Lot 18:American Airlines Foreman Badges - Lot of 3

This lot brings together three different American Airlines "Foreman" title badges spanning what appears to be several design generations of ground-crew insignia. The top badge carries AA's round red-white-and-blue cockade emblem β€” the flying eagle silhouette flanked by "A" and "A" inside a red ring β€” mounted on gilt wings above a blue enamel "FOREMAN" banner in raised gold toned lettering. The middle badge trades the roundel for the sculpted eagle-and-block-letter "AA" motif rising above the wings, gilt throughout, with the same style blue enamel "FOREMAN" banner below. The third and smallest badge repeats that eagle/"AA" design but in a bright silver-tone finish rather than gold tone, with white lettering on its blue enamel banner. All three are pin-back construction; the top two retain their original pins, intact and functional, while the silver-tone badge's pin is also present, slightly warped over the years. Together the set nicely illustrates how American Airlines varied its supervisory ground-crew badges across metal finish and emblem style over the years.

First pin measures approximately 2.7" x 1.4". Second pin approximately 3"x 1.3". 3rd pin approximately 3"x 1.3"

American Airlines Chief Badge
Lot 19:American Airlines Chief Badge

This piece carries the rank of "CHIEF" β€” likely denoting a senior ground supervisor or department head within American's maintenance or ramp operations. It depicts an eagle-and-block-letter "AA" design, with the sculpted eagle rising between the two capital A's atop a full wingspan in warm gilt-bronze, and "CHIEF" spelled out in gold lettering on a deep blue enamel banner below. The pin-back closure on the reverse is intact and functional, and the badge shows an attractive aged gilt patina  β€” consistent, honest wear from genuine period use rather than reproduction shine. It's a strong capstone piece for a display tracing American Airlines' ground-crew rank structure.

Lot 20:American Airlines Engineering Badge

This piece bears the department title "ENGINEERING" on its enamel banner, marking it as insignia worn by staff in American Airlines' technical or engineering division. It carries the familiar eagle-and-block-letter "AA" design, the sculpted eagle rising between two capital A's atop full-span wings, cast in bronze with a rich, darkened patina that highlights the raised detail in the feathers and lettering. "ENGINEERING" is spelled out in gold toned lettering across a deep blue enamel banner below the wings. The reverse shows a pin-back closure with the steel pin intact, and there's noticeable oxidation and darkening to the metal on the back consistent with genuine age. This is a scarcer department designation compared to more commonly seen role-based badges, making it a nice find for a serious airline insignia collection.

American Airlines Sterling Silver Assistant Manager Badge
Lot 25:American Airlines Sterling Silver Assistant Manager Badge

This badge steps up the rank hierarchy with "ASS'T MANAGER" spelled out in gold toned lettering on its blue enamel banner, marking supervisory or administrative rank rather than a trade or crew title. It carries the familiar eagle-and-block-letter "AA" emblem, the eagle rising between the two capital A's atop full-span wings. What sets this example apart is the reverse, which is clearly marked "STERLING", a meaningful step up in material and likely reflective of the badge's higher rank. The finish has darkened to an attractive antique bronze-black patina typical of aged sterling, and the pin-back closure is intact and functional. Both are pin-back construction and retain their original pins, intact and functional. Together the set nicely illustrates how American Airlines varied its supervisory badges across emblem style over the years.

First badge measures approximately 3"x 1.5" and second measures approximately 3"x 1.25"

1960’s American Airlines Flight Attendant Hat Badge
Lot 27:1960’s American Airlines Flight Attendant Hat Badge

This standalone circular hat badge emblem showcases American Airlines' classic flying eagle cockade in vivid 1960's cloisonnΓ©-style enamel: a deep blue eagle in flight, wings raised, centered between two bold blue block letters "A" and "A" on a crisp white ground, all bordered by a rich red enamel ring with a thin gold toned outline. The colors remain bold and largely unfaded, with clean edges to the enamel work and no visible chips or losses. The reverse is a simple flat disc fitted with a single stud-post attachment rather than a wing-back pin, suggesting this piece was designed to be mounted onto a flight attendant cap rather than worn on its own as a standard pin-back. Light handling marks and surface scuffing are visible on the back, consistent with genuine age and use.

American Airlines Inspector Badges - Lot of 2

This lot brings together two different American Airlines "INSPECTOR" title badges spanning what appears to be different design generations of crew insignia. American Airlines Captain's Name Badge -"Wendell Hawkins"
Lot 29:American Airlines Captain's Name Badge -"Wendell Hawkins"

This personalized name bar carries real provenance: it was issued to a specific American Airlines pilot, Captain Wendell Hawkins, and worn on his uniform to identify both his name and rank. The gilt-brass bar is engraved "WENDELL HAWKINS" over "CAPTAIN" in bold black-filled lettering, with American Airlines' red and blue "AA" cockade emblem - eagle in flight between the two letters -mounted at the left edge. The reverse carries a horizontal pin-back closure, fully intact and functional, along with a small secondary mounting hole and faint traces of what may be a scratched inventory mark or signature. The brass shows a warm, honestly worn patina with light scuffing consistent with genuine daily wear rather than a display piece. Named, rank-specific crew badges like this are far scarcer than generic stock badges, since they were personally issued rather than mass-produced for inventory β€” a strong piece for anyone researching individual American Airlines flight crew history.

Lufthansa Plane Engine Desktop Model on Wooden Base
Lot 38:Lufthansa Plane Engine Desktop Model on Wooden Base

This cast metal desk model reproduces a turbofan jet engine in Lufthansa's livery, with the airline's crane logo etched into the front cowling. It measures about 7Β½" long and roughly 3Β½" tall on its stand. The engine has a brushed aluminum finish, with a black spinner cone and finely detailed fan blades visible through the intake, and a black-tipped nose cone at the rear. Three raised bands mark the engine's casing sections. It rests on two small posts atop a two-tier wooden base with a mahogany-toned top and a darker striped border, sized to match the model's length. The metal shows light handling wear and scattered fine scratches, with the crane logo still crisp and legible. The base has a couple of small surface marks on the top panel but no chips or losses to the edges. Jet engine desk models like this were often given as airline promotional or retirement pieces, and the clean Lufthansa branding makes it a nice display piece alongside airline wings and insignia from the same era.

American Airlines Lapel Pin
Lot 46:American Airlines Lapel Pin

This solid brass emblem strips the American Airlines flying eagle down to its essential form: a deeply sculpted eagle in mid-flight, wings raised and feathers finely detailed, perched between two bold block "A" letters β€” the same striking motif seen on the airline's wing badges, isolated here as a standalone pin. The piece is die-struck and maker-marked on the reverse "ROBBINS CO / ATTLEBORO," identifying it as the work of the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts, a jewelry and insignia manufacturer with roots dating to the early 1900s and a long history producing enameled badges, medals, and commemorative pieces. The reverse retains its original threaded stud-post and locking disc backing, intended for uniform lapel or cap mounting rather than a standard pin-back. The brass shows a warm, deep patina with darkening in the recesses that brings out the crisp detail of the eagle's feathers, consistent with genuine age rather than a modern reproduction. A well-preserved, solidly made example of American Airlines' signature eagle emblem from a respected period maker.

American Airlines Employee pin
Lot 47:American Airlines Employee pin

This piece isolates just the American Airlines eagle itself, without the flanking "AA" lettering seen on the companion emblem β€” a finely detailed diving eagle, wings fully raised and talons visible below, rendered in deep relief with individually defined feathers. The metal has taken on a dark, silvery-gray oxidized finish, giving the piece an antique pewter-like appearance with the raised feather detail standing out nicely against the darkened recesses. The reverse shows a mounting stud with a small brass fitting near the top and a separate rivet or pin point near the base, indicating this was affixed to a badge, cap, or backing plate rather than worn loose. Wear and light scratching to the back are consistent with genuine age and handling. A striking, sculptural rendition of American Airlines' signature eagle on its own.

American Airlines Employee Service pin

This small gold-tone pin distills American Airlines' eagle-and-"AA" emblem down to service-award scale, with the eagle rising in flight between two block letter A's, wings raised and finely detailed down to individual feathers. Pins of this style were issued by American Airlines to mark employee years of service, worn as a lapel pin or tie tack. The reverse carries a simple stud-post fastener, consistent with tie-tack/lapel construction rather than a wing-back pin, and the gold finish shows light wear with a faint crosshatched texture to the back plate.
